چکیده

Background . In the available literature, data on positive effects of sleeve gastrectomy in treatment type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) become more common, however, they are heterogeneous not always unambiguous. The aim To analyze our own results patients with tolerance, who underwent gastrectomy. Materials methods. Retrospective cohort registry-based study was carried out. From 2016 to April 2021, 29 (19 %) 7 (4.6 diagnosed T2DM IGT respectively surgery. Of these, performed 13 (44.8 5 (71.4 IGT. mean duration follow-up for 14.2 ± 12.3 11.2 9.0 months respectively. GLP-1 and glucose tolerance after sleeve gastrectomy in morbidly obese subjects with type 2 diabetes.

Although GLP-1 has been suggested as a major factor for the marked improvement of glucose tolerance commonly seen after sleeve gastrectomy (SG), several observations challenge this hypothesis. To better understand the role of GLP-1 in the remission of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) long term after SG in humans, we conducted two separate cross-sectional studies: 1) the GLP-1 response to a stand...

In India, T2DM develops at a younger age, at least a decade earlier, than in Western population(1). There is paucity of data on prevalence of IGT and T2DM amongst children suffering from obesity in NCT of Delhi. This data is a part of larger study data set of st...

Short-term effects of sleeve gastrectomy on type 2 diabetes mellitus in severely obese subjects.

BACKGROUND Data on the effectiveness of sleeve gastrectomy (SG) in improving or resolving type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are scarce. METHODS A 4-month prospective study was conducted on the changes in glucose homeostasis in 35 severely obese T2DM subjects undergoing laparoscopic SG (LSG) and 50 subjects undergoing laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGBP), matched for DM duration, type ...
